![]() I added the following line to my autostart. After 30 minutes the screensaver came on, and 90 minutes later the monitor went into standby. I set "Blank After" to 30 minutes, checked "Enable Power Management" and set "Off After" to 120. The xscreensaver-systemd program is a helper daemon launched by xscreensaver(1) for systemd(1) or elogind(8) integration. I installed XScreenSaver and cranked up an instance of xscreensaver-settings-No problem I got notified that the daemon wasn't running and asked if I wanted to start it. These commands install Xorg server, display manager, Enlightenment desktop components and EFL. In the Arch Linux prompt, start running the following commands in sequence. After reboot, choose Arch Linux from grub. I figured installing XScreenSaver would be a simple matter of adding it to my autostart.sh and then letting its power management override DPMS. Part 2: Install Enlightenment Desktop in Arch Linux. Since this is a WM I'm using an autostart.sh hook as described in the Qtile Documentation to launch a few programs at login, including the compositor. DPMS was enabled out of the box and sends my monitor into standby after 10 minutes of inactivity. If I cant launch the command because of not detecting the x11 server, the problem may be from the xuserrun program I saw this issue on xuserruns Github repository and I tried to copy/paste the solution in a /opt/xuserrun file. ![]() The GPU is a GeForce GTX 670 running the nvidia-470xx-dkms driver from the AUR and configured by an nf autogenerated by nvidia-xconfig.įTMP this setup is working very nicely.
